SFLI Established

For decades, the Special Forces community lacked a dedicated institution focused solely on preserving its history, legacy, and culture on its own terms — independent of government control or limitations. There was also no single organization dedicated to organizing the large-scale reunions, commemorations, and community events that strengthen the bonds within the Special Forces Regiment beyond the scope of traditional fraternal and benevolent organizations.

SFLI was founded in 2022 to address that gap. As a privately funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, SFLI exists to honor the past, support the present, and preserve the future of America’s Special Forces community.

Through community events, commemorative gatherings, large-scale reunions, and mission-driven commerce, SFLI will continue to plan, organize, and execute events that strengthen and support the Special Forces community while building momentum toward its long-term vision: the creation of a permanent National Special Forces Museum that will preserve the stories, sacrifices, achievements, and legacy of Special Forces Soldiers for generations to come.
